Useful Baby Shower Gifts For New Parents
If you have a friend or family member that is about to become a parent, chances are that you will want to get them a gift to celebrate. There are so many different gift ideas out there that you can get for them. Therefore, it is important that you put some real thought into it and think of something that they will really love. Unfortunately, the market is flooded with gimmicky things that won’t actually do any good. Therefore, it is good to look through some ideas.
Here is a list of top gift ideas for new moms or dads. These are guaranteed to put a smile on the new parents face.
A Hamper of Baby Shower Gifts
i.e. practical gifts for baby
You can find many places online that sell ready-made gift-filled hampers, or you can make one yourself. If you are short on time, ready-made ones are a good idea. However, if you choose to make one yourself it can be less expensive and more personalized. Some of the things that you can put into the hamper include Sudocrem Antiseptic Healing Cream (I have heard great things about this product but still need to check it out myself), burp clothes, onesies (in assorted sizes), diapers (lots of them) and baby wipes. Rather than getting something gimmicky, these practical things will be much more useful!
Something to Pamper Mom
A new Mom can feel tired and in need of some TLC. So why not treat her to something that she would love for herself? This could be a day at the spa with a massage or a treatment. It could be an orthodontic treatment such as with SmileMaker orthodontics. It can even be a trip to the nail or hair salon. Do not forget Dad, he may like some pampering too!
Babysitting is another great option. Watching baby while mom (and ad?) get their treatment?
Food delivery vouchers or food deliveries
As a new Mom or Dad, one of the things not on your side is time. Thusly, cooking can quickly feel like a huge chore. Between trying to change diaper after diaper and nursing or organizing baby bottles and/or food you can find that you don’t have the time to eat any food yourself. This is why great baby shower gifts for new parents-to-be includes food. You could offer this in the form of food delivery vouchers such as for a company like Uber Eats. This will enable them to order in healthy and nice food when they really don’t want to cook. You could also gift them vouchers for a supermarket or grocery delivery. They can get their food, and other necessities, without ever leaving home.
You could also consider cooking for them yourself. Why not batch cook some meals and then drop them off? They can pop these in the freezer and then on days where they don’t want to cook, they can just defrost one of these. What a treat to no longer worry about having to slog in the kitchen!!

A family day out coupon
Having a baby is expensive. Thusly, the new family might not be able to afford to go out and do many things. A voucher for a day out could be a fun option.
Day trip ideas include a nearby zoo, a farm, or a play center. Find out what they are interested in and think of how you can incorporate this into something they can all do together. They are sure to appreciate the opportunity to head out of the house for a change of scenery.

Before we wrap up, I also want to give a shout out to gifting a family photoshoot. This would provide the new family with photos that will be loved and cherished forever.
These are just a few simple yet effective things that you can gift for a baby shower or any family gift.

A family day out coupon sounds really nice. I would love to have it too when I become a parent
Family day out is a fun way to also learn what others think would make a fun day.
I am terrible at choosing and picking gifts for new parents. This was really helpful Elise.
A stroller makes a great gift 🙂
These are great baby shower gift ideas. Especially the food delivery vouchers. Because the last thing new parents are going to want to do is cook.
Even if they want to,they usually are consistently pulled away front he kitchen for baby care. 🙂

While both parents are extremely important and, likely tired, if a person has just pushed a baby out of their body then they definitely deserve a little extra something.
Fantastic ideas! I have a few friends who are becoming first-time parents fairly soon, and these ideas will come in very useful.
Wonderful. This is especially wonderful since you have a few. You will need several ideas.
These are great ideas. I find useful things are always better than things that are cute that they can’t use.
Useful things will serve new parents better and will especially serve second time parents better.
I like the idea of food delivery vouchers, especially these days when it’s a lot safer to have food delivered to your home.
You make a good point that I failed to include. This is an interesting time in our world.
Yes food delivery vouchers is such a good one! I wish this was a thing when we had our baby as it would have bee such a helpful gift.
I wish for you and for me. Now they even be “sent” virtually.
I think the best shower gift I received was all the diapers! Those things are expensive!! My mom did a “diaper drawing” and for every pack of diapers someone brought, they got one entry into a raffle for a restaurant gift card. We had so many diapers I didn’t have to buy any until my second started using size 4!
OH MY GOODNESS!!! That is a brilliant idea. Your mom is super smart.
