I color code each room. Green is tagged on my boxes for my Kitchen. Before the movers arrive to my new home, I place my color sheet on the wall. Even the furniture has a color paper so the mover can place it in the correct room.

I usually do an inventory in excel sheet. It helps me remember everything. I also put the same things or the same kind in each boxes with proper labels. It’s easier to unpack that way.
