As most of you know, I was recently invited to visit Beacon Park in the Great Park Neighborhoods of Irvine, California and see a preview of what is to come. I am here to tell you that it did not disappoint.

Beacon Park will surely be a beautiful community and if the Meet The Builders event was any indication, it will also be a true community.

At this event we were able to meet and speak with all ten builders including, D.R. Horton, K. Hovnanian Homes, Lennar, Pulte Homes, Richmond American Homes, Ryland Homes, Shea Homes, Standard Pacific Homes, Taylor Morrison, and Warmington Residential, while enjoying refreshments and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

As in any new home community, the home prices and styles vary, but Beacon Park seems to offer more choices.

Townhomes, single story flats, and condominiums begin in the $600, 000s, detached condominiums range from mid $700,000s to high $900,000,s and single family homes  are mostly in the millions. The styles vary greatly too…something that you do not always see in planned communities. The home styles range as do the options, including a rooftop deck with a mountain view. I can envision a couple sitting there after a long and fun day taking care of their family, unwinding with a cup of tea or a glass of wine. This is truly a Great Park Neighborhood.

The Beacon Park neighborhood will include pools, patios and an outdoor kitchen in addition to kids play areas, outdoor sport courts and trails galore. These trails will take you to the Irvine Great Park, for miles of scenic bike rides, and eventually, to the Irvine Transportation Center (passenger rail and bus terminal).

Within one mile of Beacon Park shopping abounds. There is a market, retail establishments and some of the best food that you can find. Ask me… I can make recommendations.

The community will also benefit from the new K-8 Beacon Park School and Portola High School. These schools are part of the Irvine Unified School District and set to open in the upcoming school year.

If you are interested in moving here the builders are giving priority to pre-approved buyers. Visit www.GreatParkNeighborhoods.com to learn more.

I find it fascinating to witness the change that’s occurred since I moved to Orange County 20 years ago. The El Toro Base closed and a massive amount of land laid in wait. Finally, it is taking off in a beautiful way. More and more stores have popped up, the Irvine Spectrum has grown, and the area is full of wonder. Had this area been what it is now, it is likely that I would be living in Irvine.

Check it out and, if you move there, invite me over. I will bring a cup of tea. 🙂

    Elise,

This seems like a wonderful place to live… I would love to live somewhere like here however I don’t think you can take kids to these places can you ? It looks so calm and beautiful. 🙂 You bring the tea I will bring the sugar 🙂

  2. Hi Elise,

Sounds like a wonderful place to live. What caught my eye first off in your post was; K. Hovnanian Homes because in 1985-1987 they built the gated community that I live in now. We love it here.

I love the idea of the rooftop getaway.

Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend.

  3. That looks like a marvellous place to live…. how I long for the sunshine!!

I like the variety of the homes and that you could walk out to many delicious food places.

It seems to be very family orientated with all those community places and facilities…

I adore houses and looking at properties and new places, you must have had a marvellous time Elise 🙂

Could you be tempted to move back there?

    1. Jacs, it was certainly very lovely. This is pretty close to my house though so I will not be pulling up stakes just at this time. I would highly recommend anyone moving to the are to check it out, though.
