Marcia Pelchat, PhD, a scientist at the Monell Chemical Senses Center, tells us that sugar taps into a powerful human preference for sweet taste. Sugar is noteworthy as a substance that releases opioids and dopamine and thus can be quite addictive. It is important to be aware of all of the names of this potentially addictive substance.

Thank you for sharing your post about sugar. It is good to have an idea about all the names. It could get confusing for a lot of people. Sometimes it is on the label and we don’t take the time know what it is exactly. A lof of people are taking more sugar than the think. With all these name who will remember. Thank for the info
