Stress Free Move, is it possible?
Does just thinking of moving stress you out?
If you’re moving home or moving anywhere, you will likely find that you have a gargantuan task on your hands. Getting all of your belongings and the belongings of those you live with together and into another property is going to be hard work. Of course, there are plenty of ways to create a more stress free move.
Here are some suggestions to help you along the way!
Finding the Right Property First Time Around
Now, moving home is a major deal. No matter how easy you try to make it, it will still undeniably be a vast effort that takes up time, money and effort. So, it’s not all too surprising that the majority of us want to minimize the number of times we move in our life.
To achieve this, the first step that you need to take when moving is to ensure that the property you choose is the one that is right for you and should serve you well for years to come. All too many people rush a move and end up in a property they’re not happy with, consequently having to move again. Instead, take your time with the house hunt. Consider the factors below to whittle down your options and ensure that you’re choosing something that is completely right for you!
Detached, Semi-Detached or Terraced
There are a number of styles of property that you can choose from. The three main options tend to be detached, semi-detached or terraced. A detached property is perhaps the most searched form of the family home. This will provide you with your own independent property that is freestanding and doesn’t have any walls attached to neighbors. This means that neighbors are less likely to complain about any noise that your family will inevitably make. Consequently, it also means that you don’t have to listen to your neighbors’ noise either. Of course, detached properties tend to be the most expensive. As well, you need to consider the area. For example, I live at the beach and a great majority of the homes are semi attached or attached. These are beautiful homes with zero concern about noise. Knowing your area is key.
Semi-detached (semi-attached?) homes have become more popular over the years as more of them are built in an attempt to save space. You will be attached to a neighboring house by just one wall.
Finally, we have terraced houses aka row houses, townhouses, attached homes, or several other names. These are houses that sit in a series of properties that are built in a row. They are often the cheapest of the three options. If you are in a middle terrace house, you will have properties attached to either side of you. If you have an end terraced house, you will simply be attached to a property by one side, the same as a semi-detached home.
Location
You need to choose the right location too. Consider factors such as whether you need to be close to a workplace, a particular school, particular facilities such as gyms or sports clubs, things such as public transport stops and more. The right location can make a house for you!
Space
You also need to consider space. How many bedrooms do you need now? How many bedrooms will you need in the future? If you’re planning on growing your family, it’s generally better to choose a house that is too big and then grow into it, rather than having to move again when your family does grow.
Use Self Storage Solutions
Once you have found a property, the journey isn’t over. You will come up against obstacles, such as moving out dates and moving in dates not lining up. If there’s a gap between when you move out of your property and when you move into your new property, make sure to use storage solutions that are cost-effective. Generally, the easiest and cheapest way to go about things i.s with self-storage. You can find out more about self-storage cost here.
Use Removals Companies
Using removals companies can significantly simplify your move. Trying to move things yourself is hard work and you may accidentally damage some of your belongings. Instead, by using professionals, you can get all of your belongings – including large furniture and appliances – from A to B in a simple and straightforward way. If you will be buying furnishings then this is a fun read.
Of course, there are many more steps that you will find yourself taking when moving house. But these are just a few that can get you off to a really good start! Keep them in mind and you’ll be into your dream home before you even know it!

Very useful blog dear.
Thank you for the information. I believe that this will be very helpful in the future.
100% agree with hiring movers! I don’t care how much pizza and beer you supply, your friends don’t want to help you move It’s SO worth the investment to hire the pros. Great tips here!
You said it perfectly. Absolutely too much to ask and pay in pizza.

They may have the best of intentions but that does not mean they want to.
I reviewed your blog it’s really good. Thank you for the information.I want more.
It is good that you found usefulness
When I move I number all my boxes and then I add each number so each box to a spreadsheet with quite literally every single thing that’s in the box. And I know that seems like a lot but it has really saved me when I move in and we decide to make our own meals and I have to know where my pans are or specifically a peeler. Try it out it’s amazing!
Wow. That is super impressive. I can absolutely see how it could be helpful!

I love this comment. They don’t really want to and, realistically, do we really want to use our friends in this way?
