How to Have A Sexy Valentine’s Day

Are you looking to have a Sexy Valentine’s Day? Is that what your significant other is looking for?

Before you jump in with a “YES” let’s take a look back at what we learned last year in our Sexy Valentine’s series.

We learned that many of the men in our lives are not actually looking for a Valentine’s Day gift all wrapped up in a bow, unless it is you wearing the bow which would definitely qualify for the “waking up in an interesting way” answer in my “What Men Want” post.

We have also learned that most of the women want to be understood over everything else.

“I want my husband to truly listen to me. I do not need, or want him, to solve my problems but just to listen.”

I was even on the radio with Tina Nies talking all about..Sex.

So where does all of this leave Valentine’s Day?

The women did not even mention sex, so can a Sexy Valentine’s Day be possible?

OF COURSE!

These simple tips will allow you to enjoy the best of both worlds….

1. Spend time together before trying to move things over to sex. Talk, connect and really listen.

2. Think about what your Significant Other really loves and plan something special based on that.

For instance, mine loves Racquetball so I really could just give him some balls with a cute message and he would think that was sweet. I admit that I am not 100% convinced that this is a great gift but all of his racquetball buddies tell me that they would love if their wives did that. Perhaps, on some level, it is permission to disappear for two to three hours at a time and be guilt free.

3. Coupons.

I know everyone rolls them out and some people think that it just means that the giver could not think of a gift but here you can prove them wrong. Create a coupon book online, or by hand, and offer coupons that really show that you are aware of your SO’s thoughts and feelings.

Men, this is not the time to write “one coupon for sex” because she is not looking for that.

She would rather see, “Coupon for you to take  a bath while I wash the dishes and tidy the house.”, “Coupon for Breakfast in bed because I love you.” or “Coupon for a ladies night.”

A little note to keep in mind, nothing makes a woman more interested in relations than feeling understood.

4.  Do not buy lingerie unless it is for you to wear, or she has specifically asked for it.

Sorry, boys, but most women find it to be a disappointing gift and the fact is that it is more about you than her.

5. Enjoy each other’s company. It is simple and beautiful. Go for walk or sit by the fire. This does not have to be fancy or expensive but does need to honor the connection that you have.

Valentine’s Day is coming soon.. will you have a sexy Valentine’s Day?
