Reflections On The Fishing Pier

As I walk along the pier, I see many people fishing and I can't help but think that this is nature.

As I walk along the pier, I see many people fishing and I can’t help but think that this is nature.

Fishing is the way of our ancient people.


This is the way that many people feed themselves and their families.

I am not a fan of hunting or fishing, simply for sport, but what if that hunting, or fishing, leads to food used for nourishment?

My family likes to fish. My family enjoys many different types of meats.

Once upon a time, I loved fishing.

I do not eat meat, I do not eat seafood, I do not consume dairy and I try not to consume eggs. I say “try” because I am not always 100% certain that eggs have not been used as an ingredient in a food I am eating. I miss dairy but it does not miss me. If dairy and I got along better I would probably be a vegetarian.

I do not live a vegan lifestyle but I do follow a vegan diet to the best of my abilities. My family eats and often enjoys, the vegan foods I prepare but I also prepare non-vegan foods daily.

I avoid all the foods that I do because of one of two reasons. These are either that I feel that my body functions better without it as a part of my diet or I just don’t care for the taste of it.

Each person makes their own decision and each person finds their own comfort level.

I may have found mine. I suppose that time will tell.
