A rose bouquet is a popular Valentine's Day Choice.
However, when choosing a rose bouquet as a gift it is important to consider what the different colors represent.
Red Roses are traditional, to say the very least.
It is probably the only flower with which you can get away with giving just one rose.
Red roses represent passion and romantic love.
If you want to make a strong statement these should be your choice.
Purple Roses are representative of love at first sight, or enchantment.
They can also represent opulence and royalty, though they usually are deeper in color when representing this.
The Yellow Rose represents freedom and is especially popular in Texas.
They also are indicative of good cheer and as such are useful for cheering people up.
Dark and Vibrant Pink Roses are the flowers that show gratitude, fun, and happiness.
Light pink roses are more calming and gentle. They can be used for conveying sympathy.
White Roses are pure and, as such, will display truth and innocence.
They are most often used as a wedding flower.
Of course, there are many other floral choices such as tulips or a mixed bouquet of hand-picked flowers.
