Strawberry Breakfast Shake

  • Author: Dr. Mark Hyman
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Scale

Ingredients

  • 2 Scoops Rice Protein Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Organic Combination Flax And Borage Oil such as Barleans Omega Twin.
  • 2 Tablespoon Ground Flaxseed
  • Ice (made from filtered water), if desired
  • 68 Ounces Filtered Water
  • 1/2 Cup organic* strawberries
  • 1/4 Cup Nuts**

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and thoroughly combine.
  2. Enjoy!

Notes

*Organic strawberries are important as strawberries are little sponges that will absorb anything in the soil. This includes the not good for your chemicals.

**Soak your choice of tree nuts such as Almonds, Walnuts and Pecans overnight for best results.

    This looks like a very good morning drink.
    I have never heard of borage oil before though. I do know the plant.
    Wonder where you might find it? Likely a health food store.

  5. This post prompted me to look up Rice Protein because I wasn’t familiar with it. I didn’t realize how much protein and iron it provides, without the amount of carbs of normal rice. Thanks Elise, I’ll be trying this.
