5 Reasons to Switch to Natural Remedies

In recent years, many more people have turned to natural remedies over conventional medicine and its applications.

People are turning to alternative forms of medicine for minor to moderate illnesses and health issues.

From using essential oils for sinus congestion, Hives or Mood Enhancement, to beating heartburn using apple cider vinegar or using Natural Remedies For Treating A Muscle Spasm, you’ll find tons of natural remedies to handle most minor health issues easily and minus the side effects.

But are these remedies actually worth your time? Why are they really the better choice? Keep reading to find out!

Easily Applicable

The easy availability and application of natural cures are what makes them one of the most loved choices. You may not always have medicines at your disposal, but with natural cures, you need no effort to source them.

Little to No Side Effects

The best part about natural remedies and cures is that they have little or no side effects associated with their use, unlike their drugstore counterparts. You may find most of these cures in your kitchen, and they will likely have no harmful effects on your body, even when used long term.

Fast Acting

Whether applied topically or ingested, most natural cures have fast action- just like the drugs and medications. What’s more, their targeted action makes sure your health issue is solved from its very root, and not just that your symptoms are suppressed.

As Good as the Meds

Many studies have confirmed that most natural remedies are, in fact, as good as your pills and medications when it comes to tackling health disorders, with a few exceptions of course. Most natural cures have been in use since centuries and turned out to work pretty well for everything ranging from a common cold to a digestive complaint.

Eco-Friendly

Last but not the least, most natural remedies are eco-friendly. They don’t usually require a lot of processing since they’re in their natural form. This means they’re green and healthy for not just you, but for the environment too.

All in all, natural cures don’t just work great as a standalone remedy for your health problems, but also tend to act as a sort of catalyst, which can help give your drugs and medications an added boost and help them work better.

  1. I’m a huge fan of natural remedies and also more so as a preventative approach. Often an integrative approach is what is needed but personally i save the medical approach for when it’s really needed

  2. Hi Elise,

I am a great fan of natural remedies. Once you get on the pharma drugs there are always side effects to deal with, so you take another pill, and then another for that side effect. Doesn’t make any sense to me. I rather use natural remedies and have been because they work so well.

  3. My favorite natural remedy is using essential oils to help sinus headaches. The eco-friendly component of using natural remedies is something I hadn’t thought about before, but is really important! Great info.

  4. Hello Elise,

Natural remedies are always the best options to go for. The best part is they have no side effects and some added drugs that will let you fell cozy.

    Thanks for the share.

  5. I completely agree. I would far rather use a natural remedy than a pharmaceutical one. At one stage my Mum seemed to be taking drug B to counteract the side-effects of drug A, and drug C to counteract the effects of drug B.
