WOW!!!

I had such a strong conversation with Laura Corn, HOT  SEX and Renewed Intimacy Expert and author of 101 Nights of Great Sex. She is absolutely delightful and our conversation was scintillating (more about that and my sexy marriage below).

Laura is an eight time bestselling author, with over two million books sold, but she is also so much more than that.

She and I had this great conversation about the fact that I wanted to offer SEX talk to all of you because it bugs me that it is seen as either a taboo subject or a porn subject. I love all the steps in between those two ends of the continuum and that is the real reason for SEX Talk on this website.

I want  you all to feel comfortable telling your lover how you want to be touched.

If you are in a strong and committed relationship, I want you to look forward to being intimate.

I want you to feel comfortable talking to your kids about sex.

This is my motivation for so much SEX TALK and from what I am hearing it is exactly what is happening. How great is that?

Laura and I also talked about  how we can support one another and work together. This is a warm and open women who just has an amazing zest for life, and it will show itself to you the minute that you get to know her. By the way, she already has an idea for working together and it is HOT!

This all leads me to what keeps a marriage sexy.

Laura said that she loves to ask every couple in a long term relationship what they do to keep things SEXY.

Well, the hubby and I met almost 30 years ago and we started dating a few short years after that. We are now happily married for more than 20

years which basically means that I qualify to answer this question.

For us the answer is connection. The single biggest thing that my husband and I crave right now is connection. With us both having careers that are pushing us to new levels, three children and many commitments we simply want that connection.

We talk throughout the week, spend evenings together, go for walks upon occasion but what really does it for us is Saturday!

Saturday is the day that we get up early, have some breakfast and head out to the gym by 8 am.

While at the gym we play racquetball, take spin class, weight train and otherwise exercise. We talk to friends and enjoy the sauna and jacuzzi. We do some of these things together, and some separately, but we are both very happy.  After getting showered and dressed we feel refreshed and renewed.

This is a glorious way to start our weekend.

We go out for lunch where we connect, talk and really listen to what the other one is saying.

Everyone craves to be really, and truly, heard so you can imagine how this makes us both feel.

After all of this wonderfulness,  we do whatever shopping that needs to be done (now I feel supported and like we are a true team) and we arrive home somewhere between 1 to 2 pm.

At home we feel amazing and as if we have just spent the entire morning rediscovering one another.

We fall in love every Saturday.

What could be more sexy than that?

I thank Laura for asking me that question because it is Friday and she started the process early…

What keeps you connected to your spouse? I would love to know.
