How does United We Parent’s mission to unify, strengthen, and inform the parenting community align with Joyful Parenting?
Traditionally, parenting has always been a community task, shared and passed down by relatives and members of the village. Anything we can do to reduce current parent isolation and to pool wisdom and resources helps to support families in being more happy and harmonious.
[ctt template=”8″ link=”kTa9e” via=”yes” nofollow=”yes”]Cohesive, calm families provide a solid foundation for kids to thrive.[/ctt]
Thriving children is my life’s mission.
What is your most proud parenting related achievement? How did it affect you and/or your business?
I am really proud of the way that I supported my daughter with love and connection and at the same time got out of her way so she could walk her own path.
When you aren’t working, what do you like to do for fun?
Singing, sailing, dancing and babysitting the neighborhood kids.
What excites you the most about the United We Parent Inaugural event?
Parenting is my most favorite thing to talk about in the whole world. I am so, so excited about spending the whole day with others who love to talk about it, too.
Who should attend the United We Parent Event on August 26th?
Come one, come all.
[ctt template=”8″ link=”cdguT” via=”yes” nofollow=”yes”]If you are a parent or parenting professional and want to be reenergized for your own parenting or practice, this is the event for you.[/ctt]
One of the hardest things about parenting is the isolation and fear that what you are experiencing is your special burden. By sharing your story and hearing others, we get to see how thoroughly we are all in the same boat.
What else do you want us to know about you?
[ctt template=”8″ link=”YyW37″ via=”no” nofollow=”yes”]I really want people to know that parenting is a skill. Stop beating yourself up for being in process.[/ctt]
People call me a natural. Maybe. But more likely, my current depth of wisdom is just the result of thousands of direct contact hours with kids. I’d like to think I avoided some big mistakes as a result of my experience. But I still made mistakes.
Parent is a guessing game. You just keep making your best guesses and hope for the best.

I hope you can come join us and be part of the conversation!
Such an interesting read, thank you for sharing with the #dreamteam – I feel like parenting is always learning on the job. Sounds like a great event.
Parenting is a ton of on the job learning but there are also great resources to help make it easier.
Yes, I agree that we must share our stories. Everyone is going through similar struggles and until we share those with others we won’t know how much support we can have from those around us! This is especially important in parenting, where everyone is a newbie at it at some point. Thanks for sharing!
Yes, absolutely. That is why we are so dedicated to this event. There is much to learn from every parent in attendance.
Thanks for talking about this! I hope it is helpful for parents!
We are looking forward to lots of open communication.
This is great! Most of what I learned about parenting came from on-the-job training and having wonderful parents and in-laws help us out along the way. My boys are 2 and 4 and we are doing good so far!
You had a tribe to help you. That is wonderful. It makes a huge difference.
I hope you will come join us!
It sounds like a wonderful event! I hope it helps a lot of families.
Thank you. So do we.
This is such a great event! I need to check if I can make it!

We would absolutely love it if you could. Thank you.
I am 100% sharing this with my sister – she has so much insight on parenting to share it’s wonderful!
Wonderful. I would love to hear her feedback and insight. Thank you.
What a great post!! This is really inspiring!! Parenting is a skill, definitely true!! Love it! would love to join and be part of this lovely community!

This sounds like a great event! I know I need to learn so much about parenting and stop beating myself up about when I don’t do things perfectly.
We would love for you to come.
Perfection is over rated!! Actually, it is just not possible. I like to focus on becoming more skilled. What I don’t know today, I can work on learning tomorrow. And thank god, when we are genuine with our kids and they can feel how hard we are trying, no one–no one–is more ready to forgive us for any mistakes we have made.
Excellent points, Elisabeth. Perfection is an unrealistic ideology.
Really great and useful post. Glad to hear about such parenting experience. I will remember when I have kids.
Thank you and remember that it is very smart to learn all that you can about parenting even before you have kids.
I love that you are already looking for information before you even have kids. That’s what I call being proactive!
Wow ! This article looks fantastic. Very nice work! Nice content.
Thank you.
