Cooking family meals is a never-ending task, and it’s often difficult to come up with ideas for them. If you’re trying to keep it healthy, that can be even more difficult. It doesn’t need to be, however. With a few healthy family meal ideas, it’ll be much easier than you’d expect.

You don’t need to spend a lot of time preparing a few particular meals, and they’ll be tastier than you’d expect. Three top options will not only be tasty and healthy, but they’re sure to please the entire family. They’re worth taking a look at.

Healthy Family Meal Ideas: 3 Easy Options

1. Baked Egg In A Baked Potato

Also known as an Idaho Sunrise, a baked egg in a baked potato doesn’t take a lot of time to make, and there shouldn’t be much mess involved. Simply microwave-bake the potato with a few toppings, such as sour cream and cheese. Adding the egg in at this point should bake it thoroughly, as long as you let it heat for long enough.

Place it right inside the baked potato to make sure this is as enjoyable as possible. Top it with some grated cheese after it’s done cooking, and it’ll be mouth-wateringly good. With how cheap this is to make, it’s also one of the more affordable healthy family meal ideas.

2. Mini Pizzas

While you mightn’t expect mini pizzas to be the healthiest meal to make, that all depends on what you include on it. With a quick and easy recipe for mini pizzas that’s also healthy, you shouldn’t have a problem with this. Since every kid loves some pizza, they shouldn’t have a problem eating it right up.

They could like it so much it’ll become a weekly tradition. There also isn’t much cleanup time needed for this, so it’ll be one of the more practical meals to make for your family.

3. Chicken Chow Mein

Chicken is one of the most versatile meats you can cook, and you’ll have a wealth of healthy options to choose from. Not all of these have to be bland and boring, with this chicken chow mein being one of the tastier options to pick. Outside of being tasty, it’s quite filling, so you shouldn’t leave anyone hungry once they’ve eaten.

You wouldn’t even need to spend much time or effort making this, as it doesn’t have many ingredients. You can even pick up pre-made egg noodles to make it easier for yourself. Add a few garnishes of your choice, but it’s always worth considering some black pepper and sesame seeds.

Healthy Family Meal Ideas: Wrapping Up

More than a few healthy family meal ideas can be easier to make than you could’ve thought. You shouldn’t have a problem giving your children a healthy meal they’ll love. At the same time, you wouldn’t have to spend a lot of time preparing them.

Baked egg in a baked potato, chicken chow mein, and mini pizzas can all be some of the better-recommended. They’re not only healthy, but could have your family looking forward to the next time you’re cooking. There’s nothing not to love.
