Healthy and Fit.

There is, literally, no better time than the present.

If you want to make sure that you are both healthy and fit, then you need to focus on making the right changes. If you don’t, then you may find that you struggle to get the health boost you need. Consequently,  you may also end up being stuck in the same situation you’re in now.

However, you may have an important question on your mind…

Can I really be healthy and fit and enjoy life too??? Yes, of course! Read on for tips on how to do just that.

It’s Time to Take Control

If possible, you need to practice training your mind as much as you do your body. Training can give you a very high level of consistency. It can also provide you with some balance in your life. When it comes to your work and your relationships, you may find that you work at something but it doesn’t give you the results you want. However, when it comes to fitness, you will always see some kind of positive result. It doesn’t matter whether it’s weight loss, fitness or even strength gain because it’s safe to say that you hold all of the cards. Having an element of your life which is controlled by you, and somewhat unbiased, can to believe. You can truly see what you are able to achieve!

Prioritize Protein

The great thing about pre-loading with protein is that it helps to give your brain a lot of dopamine. This is a chemical that helps to power all of the reward circuits in your brain.

Various studies have found that if you eat a protein rich breakfast then you will eat less food throughout the day. You may even find that you have way fewer cravings too, and this is very good to say the least. If you want to make sure that you are getting enough protein, then try and eat some avocado or even try this Vegetable Hash from Dr. Mark Hyman.

The Small Stuff is Important

When you set a goal that is too big or not a SMART Goal, then you may find it to be daunting. When we set a SMART goal we are setting goals that are Specific, Measurable, Attainable,  Realistic and Time-Based.

Think about all of the smaller, or more attainable, goals that will help to keep you motivated.

You can start with setting a goal to go to the gym today. When you can get in a good routine with this, you can then step it up, and go three times a week. It’s then much easier for you to step up your workouts accordingly and it positively reinforces the lifestyle that you have.

Rocket your Efforts

If you are only able to work out once or twice every week then this is understandable. That being said, you do need to make your workouts very high intensity. This will have the biggest outcome for your training, and it will also help you to gain results faster. If you do not feel as though you are at a high enough fitness level to do high-intensity training, then you have nothing to worry about. It is more than possible for you to try and do just a minute or two of high-intensity training, before stepping things up another level in a few weeks. Things like this can help you to get the best result out of your workouts and you may even find that you are able to really change things around for yourself.

Get off the Scales

It can be tempting for you to get the idea into your head that you can lose X amount of weight in X amount of time. That being said, instant gratification is not something that you should expect with weight loss. If you can, you need to focus on following your healthy routine for a month and you need to ignore the scales. If you can do this, then you will soon find that it becomes easier for you to stay focused on the things that do matter. Sure, scales can be a good tool for gathering information. The scale can even be motivating. However, they can also do a lot when it comes to demotivating or demoralizing you. If you do want to lose weight, it could be worth exploring the idea of phentermine weight loss.

HRV

If you want a sports watch, or a fitness tracker, choose one that comes with a heart rate monitor. You can also get ones that come with other functions that help you to monitor how much stress you are putting your body under. This can then push your training to that next level. Scientists found that those who do high-interval intensity training when they have a high HRV rate achieve more fitness gains. If you can focus on using this to your advantage, then you can be sure to benefit.

Embrace the Outdoors

If you can commit to doing 20 minutes or so of moderate exercise every week, then this will benefit you. A routine walk is a great way for you to boost your mental health. You may even find that it lowers your stress and hormone levels. If you find it difficult to get outdoors, then invite a friend to go with you. This can give you the boost you need. You may even find that it encourages you to focus on how wonderful it is to be out in nature.
