Happy New Year 2012.

This will be a fabulous year.

Today is a great day for reflection on the year that has been left behind and the amazing and happy new year that is ahead of us.


I encourage all of you to consider what you would like to accomplish this year and what the best plan of action is to get you there. This plan will make a great New Year’s Resolution. Instead of “I’d like to exercise more.” decide on a goal for number of days per week to exercise. Instead of “I want to organize my house.” try “I will organize one room per week.” or “I will organize one draw per day.” Instead of “I want to eat better.” consider “I will strive to eat between 5 and 9 servings of vegetables per day.”

In other words, be specific.

If you are sporting a hangover today then it is extra important to hydrate.

I realize that putting anything into your system right now seems very unattractive. However, it is one of the best things that you can do for your body. Rehydrating your system is the best way to recover from heavy drinking. Much of what you are feeling is coming from the likelihood that you are dehydrated.

Sip slowly and rest a great deal.

  1. This is great-it can be overwhelming to think of all you have to do. I like to pick the one most important thing to do each day. When that’s done, I relax a little more and may choose a next most important thing.
