  • ¼ teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • optional: 1 handful baby spinach or greens of choice <- do this 🙂 Greens are good for you <3 Elise

This recipe taken from Dr. Mark Hyman’s Eat Fat, Get Thin (currently available for presale).

It truly is time to stop being scared of fat. Low fat diets contribute to poor skin quality, poor elimination and have been associated with dementia and other brain related diseases.

To celebrate the launch Dr. Hyman has created a powerful Q&A Video that he is giving away – 100% free. It covers the top questions he gets about fat, and simple strategies you can implement TODAY to look and feel your best in no time. Watch the FREE video right HERE.

  3. Hello Dr. Elise,

This is the first time I am hearing about ginger smoothie and it looks awesome ( by image wise) and I am sure it tastes delicious too. We use ginger mostly in our tea and for vegetable curry, and sometimes for medication too , but never tried it in smoothie.

  4. Hi Elise

That sounds really yummy, and here in the UK I’m very close to a supermarket where I’m pretty sure I can get all those ingredients. Sound a much better start to my day than my current porridge – which is starting to get a bit boring.

Funnily enough just a couple of weeks ago I was watching a series on UK TV about sugar making your fat, not fat. It’s a message I’ve come across before, and it’s very appealing!

Thanks for reminding me about Dr Hyman’s book.

  5. This looks delicious! Can’t wait to use this. I make ginger tea with fresh ginger and green tea every morning.

I also know that it is sugar and not fat that makes us fat

    Great info

    To the top

  6. Ginger spice smoothie… it looks deliciously doable! I will try it for sure! It’s been increasingly difficult to find protein powders without any kind of sweetener, and the pea protein we’ve been getting seems to have been discontinued at our local health food store. Maybe a coconut milk or almond milk base will be a good substitute.

  7. Hi Elise..
So true. When I went “cold turkey” on sugar almost a year ago I lost 10 pounds without trying. And I have never felt better …

  9. Hello Elise, I did see this post shared over on FaceBook and couldnt wait to get a chance to get over to check this out.. OH Yeh I would love to learn how to eat fat to get thin LOL

Now for this recipe, sounds super yummy, but I for one have never heard of cashew milk before, Curious where would I find this at?

I am excited to give it a try..

    Yum Yum
    Chery :))

    1. It is a great thing to learn. Cashew milk is becoming mainstream in many supermarkets but almond milk is even more mainstream and available in your widely known grocery stores and specialty stores such as Trader Joe, Sprouts and Whole Foods. You can use either one in this recipe and get equivalent results. Enjoy.
