A Completely Honest FotoJet Review
Have I mentioned how much I love FotoJet?
I have previously worked with PicMonkey and Canva but more recently I have been exploring FotoJet.
I am absolutely loving it.
It has so many great features and it is super easy to manipulate designs to make exactly what you want.
But hold on, what is Fotojet and why do I need it?
What a wonderful question.
Fotojet is a FREE web-based graphic designer, photo editor, and collage maker.
1o reasons why you need Fotojet
Super simple to use
No installation required
No registration required
800+ collage layouts and templates
Custom templates
All of the editing tools you would expect
Beautiful font choices
Custom color choices
Great photo effects
FUN!
I began with a FREE account to see how much I can do without paying.
Personally, I use the editing and collage tools the most. However, I have also been playing with the other design tools quite regularly.
FotoJet is fully compatible with Windows 7/8/10, Mac OS X and Linux. It is recommended to be used with Internet Explorer version 10.0 or higher, Firefox 10.0 or higher, Safari 7.0 or higher, and Google Chrome 14.0 or higher.
If you do not own the right to the photos do not use them. They are copyright protected.
If you choose to upgrade to FotoJet Plus, you will get additional benefits:
- All advanced features.
- 30+ premium fonts.
- 20+ premium photo effects.
- 300+ premium clip art images.
- 30+ premium shapes.
- 30+ premium overlays.
- 20+ premium frames.
- Priority support service.
- Ad-free.
Currently, only FotoJet Plus subscribers can save their photo work as a project file for later editing.
A monthly subscription is currently $4.99 (reduced from $9.99).
An annual FotoJet subscription at only $34.99 per year is a great deal.
It breaks down to $2.91 per month reduced from $4.99 per month so it is definitely affordable.
This is especially good since PicMonkey recently changed their pricing structure.
They do not offer a free account anymore and the annual membership is $47.88
Well technically PicMopnkey does offer a free membership but you cannot save your edits so there really is not much point to it. Read more about that HERE.
FYI, I had a paid PicMonkey account but I recently jump shipped for FotoJet.
I also had a free account over at Canva but overall I find FotoJet better suits my needs and desires.
Now back to the subject at hand…
Either way, free or paid, I am very happy with FotoJet.
Try FotoJet for FREE by clicking HERE.
What do you feel the ideal set of tools should include?
Please let me know in the comments below.
P.S. Mine is that I want to be able to save my edited images in the platform, save custom background colors and save custom font colors.

You’re quite welcome.
Thank you for sharing this. I have just began doing research on graphic design, and will definitely be using this website. I had seen Canva, and it’s alright, so I’m excited to try FotoJet!
You are so welcome. I hope that you will love it as much as I do.
I ama big Canva fan but I must check this out Elise
Let me know what you think of it after you check it out.
Hi Elise,
Great to see you. I also reviewed FotoJet. I definitely feel it’s an excellent alternative to Canva if people are looking for an alternate. Lately, I’ve been enjoying Fotor.

I love that we have so many options
Hi Dr. Elise,
Very good review on Fotojet. I had seen it mentioned before but you made me curious. I tried it and it has some interesting options, one of which I like is the HTML version to put on your website – good for sidebar use. I use PicMonkey and like it a lot same pricing for annual plans more or less. Use Canva as well, the free version. Thanks for the introduction to Fotojet.
You are so welcome. They seem to all have that little something extra 🙂
Very interesting! Being the artsy fartsy kinda gal that I am, I’ve long had desktop publishing software as a mainstay on my computer, but I’m always interested in discovering new resources so I’m definitely going to take a close look at Fotojet and see how I might be able to use it. Thanks!
What a great description of yourself.
I love finding out about new tools. I have a paid Pic Monkey account but hardly ever use it. I seem to use Canva for most of my graphics, thanks again for the information.
I love to learn of new tools too. I learned of a different tool today for organization. I will review it soon.
I wonder if Fotojet would work better for me than Canva for Work? It is definitely less expensive. If I ever get time to spare, I will check it out but I also have Photoshop. Thanks for this review.
I am not too into Photoshop so I cannot really compare it to that. I found Photoshop to be difficult.
Hi, thanks for sharing, I had never heard of this before. Really keen to check it out now 🙂
Excellent. I am very happy to hear that.
Thank you! Definitely going to try it.
Great. I hope that you like it.

Me too. Enjoy!

Hi Elise,
You have reminded me that I already have a FotoJet account that I haven’t used much – which is silly really, because I liked it very much as an alternative to Canva and PicMonkey.
Thanks for inspiring me to revisit it.
I agree – being able to save images on the platform is very important, although being ultra-cautious I always save on my local machine as well.
Joy Healey – Blogging After Dark
I save in both places too. I just think that if they are in progress it is easiest to save on the platform. 🙂
Thanks. Never heard of this but will check it out. I’ve used canva for a few years but always looking for new things!
Great. I hope that you will enjoy it.
Going to try! I go between Pic Monkey and Canva…never really satisfied.
Hopefully this one will satisfy you.
Fotojet is new to me; I currently use PicMonkey and Canva. Every now and then, I use Adobe Spark. I’ll have to check Fotojet out. Thanks Elise!
I love introducing new tools. I hope that you will like it.
I have liked Canva but this is enticing! I’m going to take a look! Thanks for the write up- I hadn’t heard of them until today.
I love that I introduced something new. Let me know what you think of it once you take a look.
I had to google it cause I’d never heard of it, but from what I saw on its website it really looks professional. Thanks for the tip!
You are so very welcome.
I’ve never heard of FotoJet, but I’m so going to check it out. I’m coaching a group of newbie bloggers and they might find it useful. Personally, I’m a Adobe CC girl, but I get that that’s not for everyone.
I think your newbies will like it. It is very easy to use.
