Driven Diva Mom.
What I do well as a mom.
I ensure my daughter knows the meaning of love and self-worth. I also allow her to be a child and to develop her own sense of self while gently guiding her through her life’s journey.
What I learned from another mom.
Self-care is very important. It’s alright to take a few moments for yourself without feeling guilty. When I am healthy, happy and take care of myself, I am able to give 100% to family.
Lesson learned from my child.
The best gift I can give a child is my time. I make sure that I incorporate activities that we enjoy and that she and I can do together, such as mommy and me spa days, trips to the library and to the park. We have an evening and she always gets to choose which book we read at bedtime.
Successful motherhood moment.
I asked my daughter to clean up her play area. Being a child, she got carried away, and forgot. When I asked her why she hadn’t clean up, she immediately realized and made no excuse. She simply asked me to forgive her and gave me the biggest hug.
Mom I admire.
My mom. She instilled in my siblings and me a strong sense of family and an incredible work ethic. These qualities help me to be the wife and mother that my family needs me to be. My mother reminded me to “be the best” every single day on my way to school and now that I am older those words still resonate with me, in all areas of my life.
