ConnectHer Truly Connects People In The Most Spectacular Way

ConnectHer is a blogger’s paradise put together by ConnectHer Media.

It is an invitation-only event attended by bloggers, influencers, writers, and brands. Every woman in attendance is entrepreneurial in spirit.  We are all looking to uplevel our businesses.

Among my ConnectHer tribe, I am with people who understand me and understand the unique aspects of my location independent business.

With these amazing folks, I can gain knowledge and also share knowledge. When I am with these folks I have an amazingly fun time but am also quite serious when discussing my craft.

I have truly formed a community with these incredible women (and men…there are a few men at ConnectHer).

These are my people. This is why ConnectHer is so important. This is why I attend every year.

This year ConnectHer keynote speakers included Nicole Feliciano of Mom Trends and Katie Ann Rosen Kitchens of FabFitFun.

Nicole spoke about living your message which, of course, means being authentic. That is so important. Pretending to be something you are not is not the way to build a sustainable business. Be your authentic self and the rest will come.

A big part of Katie Ann’s message is to not be afraid to make mistakes. She was so real and down to earth as she shared some of her biggest mistakes. I really connected with her message.

[ctt template=”8″ link=”8lUOJ” via=”yes” nofollow=”yes”]I truly believe that there is no mistake, there are just lessons to be learned.[/ctt]

This years ConnectHer keynote speakers included Katie Ann Rosen Kitchens of FabFitFun. A big part of her message is to not be afraid to make mistakes.I also got to spend quality time with several new friends and many longtime friends.

Among these gems are:

I wish that I could give every awesome person a shout out but if I did the list would go on forever and I want to get to the awesome sponsors and swag bag contributors too.

Chub Chub Baby <- also sponsoring United We Parents Kick-Off Event on August 26th.

Additional sponsors included Xcaret MexicoPrimal Kitchen,  Shea MoistureGenexa Organic Medicine, Venice Child,

Silc Skin,  Family Vacation HubSoCal Lady Bloggers and IASO Cosmetics.

It was wonderful to get a glimpse into what each of these companies is involved in. I am equally excited to learn about a fabulous vacation to a Mexican resort as I am to learn about organic medicines, great cosmetics and getting rid of crows feet. Plus we all know that everything foodie, family or self-care related is totally my jam.

I look forward to learning more about each of these companies and introducing more about each of them on Ask Dr. Ho and on social media.

ConnectHer supporter/sponsor Daisy who is of the same mindset regarding how awesome everyone involved with ConnectHer is. This is proven when you see some awesome familiar faces in Season 2 of Total Mom Makeover.

FabFitFun offered a subscription box to the influencers and let me tell you that mine was filled with fabulous goodies…and almost every single one was taken by my college-bound baby. I will let you all know more about that in a separate post but let me tell you the baby and I LOVE what we got.

I loved the story of Graffiti Gloss founder, Taira Soo, and how she truly found herself and wants to help young girls to do the same.

It would be great to interview Taira in my upcoming monthly entrepreneurial spotlight feature. ConnectHer founder, Laura, will be helping to kick off that feature so stay tuned.

Let’s talk food!

I am a total foodie, after all.

Giordano’s Chicago Style Pizza hosted our first food festivities at their location at the Bally’s Bazaar.

I do not eat pizza often but when I do this is a fabulous craving buster. The crust is cooked to perfection and full of ooey gooey cheese.  So delicious…

To make the evening even more fun Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits provided a delicious assortment of red and white wines. The next morning we were also treated to red and white sangria. I loved the white and need to order some very soon.

got milk? sponsored our decadent breakfast kick off which included pastries galore, quiche muffins, avocado toast, fruit and more. It is a good thing that we had plenty of milk because the SLS Las Vegas (<- host hotel) told me that he is pretty sure that the ConnectHer ladies like coffee with their milk rather than milk with their coffee. I like the little cows 🙂

There was no missing out on the fun for Johnny Rockets. Burgers, fries, salads, beer, wine, and milkshakes were on the menu. We even learned the secret of the thick milkshakes.

Our eyes were also treated to a feast in the form of this beautiful cake from YaYa’s Sweet Surprise.

ConnectHer 17 was a wonderful experience just as each one before it was and  I am sure each one after will be.

We ate, we drank and we had fun but we also listened, learned and supported. This is what it is all really about.

This is the importance of connection.
