I awaken to three beautiful girls who want to begin the day with a swim.

I need to pack up our hotel room so we can transfer to the city but yet I find a way to oblige these lovely girls.

How do I do this when I did to get into the city?

I delegate and send our adult cousin to watch the little lovelies go for a swim while I pack and organize for the day ahead.

We transfer to my mother-in-laws home where we burn incense, reminisce about my father-in-law, and discuss the details of our families new circumstances.

It has become time for more of our loved ones to fly back to their homes.

This makes me sad because a piece of my heart goes with them. I wish that we somehow could all stay together.

Then, in my head, I rewrite history and imagine what it would have been like had we never left New York at all.

Of course, this is a futile exercise because there is no way to know the answers to that particular mystery.

In the evening we all go out so that we can stretch our legs and clear our minds a bit. This day has been another emotionally packed day and the respite is quite lovely.

On this October evening in New Jersey the only place to take a walk is in the mall. It is really quite funny to watch all my brothers-in-law in a mall together. On top of this we mix in an uncle and a cousin which makes it that much more amusing.

My daughter and niece stop at a mall cart to look at nail products. They are surrounded by testosterone and I can not help but wonder what the sales person is thinking.

We say more goodbye’s to still more family members leaving town and then return to my mother-in-laws to settle her in for the night.

We are now ready to make our way to the city where we will stay in my brother-in-laws loft.

On the way I realize that I am not feeling very well.

We stop at the market before settling in for the night. My brother-in-law is a lovely host allowing my husband and I the use of his bed while he sleeps on the couch. The bed looks so lovely and I am so exhausted. I crawl under the covers and fall asleep immediately.
