Crisp Honey Shrimp with Candied Walnuts is definitely a favored recipe for the Chinese New Year table. We have 4 Sons ‘R’ Us to thank for this yumminess.

Noshtastic offers the next beautiful dish.  Here we have a gluten-free version of P.F. Chang’s Beef a La Sichuan recipe.

This Soy Ginger Lemon Chicken from Sugar and Soul is another great option for your Chinese New Year menu.

Spicy Cashew Chicken is offered from The View from Great Island as another option for your Chinese Feast. I actually substituted tofu for this one. 😉

Here I get more decadent and offer a link to the amazing Maggie over at Omnivore’s Cookbook. You simply must visit her site and see all of the delights but pick just ONE cookie (if you can) to round out this Asian feast. I am in for the Quinoa Sesame Brittle.

For sure Chinese New Year is not about small dainty meals. The food is plentiful and some foods hit on the really healthy part of the spectrum and some are far on the other side. choose wisely and remember, if it is not delicious then do not eat it! I am in for the Quinoa Sesame Brittle.

  1. Hi Elise. I am so bookmarking this page. My husband and I eat a lot of Chinese food, and it’s his favorite. These recipes look delicious. Thanks for sharing.

    All the best,
    Leslie

  2. These all look delicious, We were getting a bit lazy with cooking and using too much frozen stir fry veg and ready made sauces. I grew tired of the same old thing so I’ve been looking for new ideas. I love Chinese food too. Thanks Elise.

  3. I’m not sure which one I will try first. It will probably be between the Beef a la Sichuan or the Soy Ginger Lemon Chicken. Either way, I am excited to try all of these. Thank you for sharing.
