Celebrate Fall With A FREE Fall Cookbook, A Blog Hop & Personal Reflections
This post is part of the We are Pinnable Celebrating Fall Blog Hop. You may remember We Are Pinnable from my Guest Co-hosting time.
When asked to reflect on how I celebrate Fall I found myself also reflecting on how different celebrating Fall is in Southern California versus New York.
In Southern California, my yard has palm trees and there are no falling leaves.
Growing up in New York Fall always included the change of colors, the raking of leaves and the inevitable leaf throwing parties.
Other things I remember from my childhood include the crisp air and taking out my favorite Fall outfits.
Here in Southern California none of that is part of Fall (well we may take out an extra sweater) but there is so much that is universal.
Just ask the ladies of the We are Pinnable Celebrating Fall Blog Hop. We cover various continents but all love to celebrate Fall.

Of course, one of the greatest things about Fall are the holidays. With all three of my kids currently living away from home, I am 100% looking forward to Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving will be a time that I truly celebrate Fall as it will be the first time in many, many months that all three of my kids will be under the same roof.
In honor of my extreme future happiness, I want to gift you all with a cookbook that I worked on a few years back.
The cookbook is entitled The Best of Fall: A Five Course Harvest Feast. I worked on this with a colleague of mine. We are both certified nutritionists and thought that this would be a really fun project.
[ctt template=”8″ link=”c5N39″ via=”no” nofollow=”yes”]All recipes in this FREE cookbook are gluten free, dairy free, processed sugar-free, and free of artificial color and preservatives.[/ctt]
Each recipe would make a wonderful addition to any meal, whether for a plant-based eater or anyone that would simply like healthier choices available to them.
Foods presented, such as Baba Ganoush, Black Bean Burgers with Cranberry Relish, Roasted Acorn Squash, Green Bean Casserole and Pear Crisp with Banana Ice Cream provide plenty for your holiday feast.
My co-author and I also provide information on the reason for choosing particular foods. As if all of the delicious recipes complete with preparation tips were not enough.
In this educational cookbook, you will learn about foods that help to prevent cancer, reduce cholesterol, and detoxify. For added fun, we include foods that may improve your sex life.
This cookbook is for you if you want to take the stress out of preparing a healthy holiday meal.

My husband and I are heading up to Door County, WI this weekend. The air is not very crisp right now (86 degrees in Madison, WI right now….What?) but I’m sure we’ll see plenty of color. Thanks for this post. It got me in the spirit of fall.
I totally know what you mean. I am in Southern California and the weather is similar.
I grew up in Florida so I never go the fall weather. But when I moved away for college, my college town certainly did! It made me fall head-over-heels for the season 🙂
It is a beautiful season.
I love Autumn and everything that goes with it including Thanksgiving. Your recipes look delicous and I’m looking forward to treating my GF daughter to one of your recipes!
YEAH! I would love to hear the feedback after you prepare it.
Fall is my favorite time of year! I love going to cider mills, and pumpkin patches, watching the leaves change colors, drinking warm teas, Halloween, etc.
I have never been to a true cider mill.
