Why You Should Experience A Baby Show
The LA Baby Show was incredible.
I can honestly tell you that if you are a parent, soon-to-be parent or anyone looking for a gift for mom, dad or baby then JPMA Baby Show Events are the ones to attend.
Shows are currently scheduled for Los Angeles, Washington, and New York.
This year I got to experience the Second Annual LA Baby Show and to say it was impressive is an understatement.
I loved that throughout the two-story event there were several lounges for parents and several changing stations. It was actually perfect considering that the changing stations at The Reef (where the event took place) are somewhat limited.
I was treated to a VIP lounge that was complete with beverages, snacks, a children’s play area, massages and more. Thank you for that MomAngeles.
I did check out the other food options just to see what there was. There were several food trucks on the property of the venue. One of them had what sounded like amazing salads and another had grilled cheese specialty sandwiches that were very popular. The venue also offers its own coffee shop which had a nice array of food at a price point that I would say is quite normal for such a place.
There was no shortage of education at the show.
Options included Baby Care 101, How to capture professional-like photographs, What You Really Need To Know About Shopping For Baby, Power Struggles w/ Your Toddler and Early Child Development.
One of my favorite educational opportunities at The LA Baby Show was an extremely well-respected pediatrician, Dr. Harvey Karp. Watch the blog for our upcoming interview. Better yet subscribe HERE for all the Ask Dr. Ho Family & Relationship updates to be sent directly to your inbox.
Then there was play…
Trial Classes, play areas and mini shows were put on by The Cradle Company, Camelot Little Knights, Count The Kicks, PlayCreations Kids and more.
Now let’s get back to shopping.
With rows and rows of sponsors and exhibitors, there is an absolutely amazing array of things to check out.
I will call out a few of them but I encourage you to check out the LA Baby Show website to see a complete listing.
Aqua Carpatica was a huge favorite of mine. With so much of our tap water having chlorine and other things we do not want to drink many of us tend to use filtration systems or buy bottled water. [ctt template=”8″ link=”Ob77l” via=”no” nofollow=”yes”]This natural spring water is rich in bicarbonates, stimulates the metabolism, sodium, and nitrate free, full of electrolytes and naturally alkaline. [/ctt]
This water is amazingly smooth and delicious. The bottles are 16.9 ounces each and I drank at least 5 while I was at the show. It is great for you and your baby.
WOO HOO to good hydration!
I am strongly considering working with Petit Bamboo, the 100% organic baby wear company.
Everything at Petit Bamboo is made from 95% bamboo which also makes it amazingly soft, hypoallergenic, sustainable, anti-bacterial and thermo-regulating.
Thermo-regulating means that it will keep your children warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
I am super excited to work with Milk & Eggs for a special blog series that I have planned.
They have so many wonderful products, it is awesome to have your food delivered to your door and it does not even have premium pricing attached. I love when healthy eating is made a little easier.
There were so many more vendors. I wish I could give you insight into each one but then this blog post would be 10,000 words long. A few others to check out are Bella B, Babyganics, Crane Organic Lip Balm, Water Wipes and Think Baby. Then there is also uPang UV Water Bottle Sanitizer, Canon Cameras, DK Publishing, Zoli, Better Bean and others. I have lots more research to do for you so sign up for the mailing list and I will get the info out to you just as soon as possible.
I also do not want to leave out the 2017 event charity partner, Good + Foundation. This not for profit was founded by Jessica Seinfeld to help break the cycle of poverty. Their work at the LA Baby Show was about raising awareness and accepting donations from vendors at the end of the show. You see at the end of every trade show there is often a great deal of leftover product. These may be display items or product that an exhibitor was providing to attendants. Often times the vendors really do not want to carry everything home and that is where The Good + Foundation steps in. All gently used product is collected and then redistributed to families in need.
So there you have it. An overview of a great experience that I wish was around when my kids were wee ones. Check it out. You will not be disappointed.
Please also let me know in the comments if you have ever been to such an event. I am also curious to know what would make such an event perfect for you.
Thanks.

This looks like SO much fun! I never went to a baby show during my pregnancies or when the babies were small. Kinda regret it now.
Me neither and I sure wish I did.
When they grow up you can go as a granny. 🙂
Looks amazing! I went to a baby show a couple of years ago and had a great time. I love to speak to different brands and learn about new products!
Oh yes, that is wonderful.
My mummy has been to a couple of baby shows before in London and Birmingham but uses them as an opportunity to see whats new in the industry. For advice she joined an NCT class and it was great support with a wealth of knowledge and advice. She never had a baby shower as we had a christening instead after I was born. x
Having the support is so important. Great idea on your mom’s part.
I’ve attended a few baby shower events and the bab show you’ve mentioned is pretty much the same ive attended. They can be real informative and meeting fellow soon to be moms is what makes the gathering.truly exciting. For one, you get to share the room with mom who’ve got smaller or.bigger tummy than yours. But most importantly, they shate the same goal – or we all share the same goal and that is to learn.how.to.be a good parent.
And that is a truly wonderful goal.
Hadn’t heard of this before but it sounds great for expecting or recent parents!
Indeed it is
Aw, I’m glad you had a great time! 🙂 I’m not a mum myself, but this sounds like such a wonderful event for new mums and mums-to-be! xx
Thank you
Looks awesome but a bit big for me. I’ve been wedding shows and they were pretty cool.
Really I just love trade shows. It is so great for everything to be under one roof. Soon I will be at a boat show 🙂
A baby show is such a fun idea. So many great things and lots of shopping to do.
Yes, indeed. Lots of shopping.
This sounds like a lot of fun! Anything about babies just excited me and it is so fun to see what is new in the baby industry market!
And there is so much that is new.
That sounds so fun! I have never been to one of those shows but would definitely go with a friend 🙂
xx, Theresa
That would be very fun.
These shows are great! I love all the demos, talks and hands on sessions they have, plus the shopping is always well targeted and appropriate.
I could not agree more.
Great idea. Someone should do this in Wisconsin!
Yes, someone definitely should 🙂
What a fantastic sounding event, so much going on! I love the look of Petit Bamboo! Gorgeous items!
I am so excited to work with them.
this must be a super and awesome event
That is a great description.
Baby Shows are a big deal in the UK. My baby days are over now, but I used to really enjoy visiting to get an idea what was available, and to also test drive a few pushchairs and the like! 🙂
They even had a track for that. I thought it was pretty neat. 🙂
I didn’t realise events like this were a thing, it looks amazing though!
It indeed is. I think it is a great service.
Omg this sounds awesome! I wish there was an event like this near me!
I hope that there will be soon. 🙂
I am very familiar – my recruiting business actually does quite a bit of work in the baby industry, so I have heard a great deal about these shows, the duration, and what the vendors hope to achieve. I can say two things:
1. I wish there was as much interaction with soon-to-be parents when I was pregnant!
2. The new products are absolutely genius!
On a separate note, the baby industry is also where I learned about the breadth of blogging!
So glad you enjoyed it!
I would love to be working with soon to be parents and people considering being a parent. I would love to answer the nitty gritty questions. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
wow this sounds amazing! I wish we had something like this near me. I would love to go to one of these!
XO-Lisa
Hopefully, they will keep expanding and come your way.
Sounds like a great event! Everything from Petit Bamboo looks so sweet.. almost makes me want to have a little one of my own just to dress them in these outfits!
HAHAHA, me too but maybe we should just wait for grandbabies. 🙂
The event sounds like it went down really well!
My favourite part of your report is of the non profit that uses these products to help families in need. Good on them. I’ve never been to such an event either. My son is now 18.
I was very impressed with the non-profit. I think it is a great idea.
I’m not a mama yet but these events sound super interesting. I live in Washington so i will def be recommending these to my friends!
That is perfect. I am sure that they will enjoy them.
Wow, I had no idea baby shows existed. This is interesting! Thanks for sharing! Perhaps when I’m closer to that place in life, I’ll look into baby shows.
Yes, you definitely should. Even if you buy nothing it is very interesting.
this sounds like an interesting event and I have never been to one. not sure if we have such events in India. they must be so insightful.
It really is. There is so much to learn and experience.
