12 Must-Have Appliances For Empty Nesters

Empty nesters often find themselves with a lot of newfound freedom. They have more time to themselves and can finally do the things they’ve always wanted to do. But, even with this new-found freedom, there are some tasks that need to be done in order for them to live comfortably. That’s where appliances come in! In this blog post, we will discuss 12 appliances that every empty nester should consider purchasing.

Make your life easier with these helpful appliances for empty nesters.

Robot Vacuum

If you’re an empty nester, you may find yourself too busy (or lazy!) to keep your floors clean. A robot vacuum is the perfect solution! You can program it to run on a schedule or just turn it on whenever you need it. Plus, these vacuums are designed to navigate around obstacles so they won’t get stuck like other traditional vacuums do.

Bread Maker

Who doesn’t love the smell of fresh-baked bread? With a bread maker, you can make your own delicious bread in the comfort of your home. It’s perfect for people who want to save money on store-bought loaves or just enjoy baking their own homemade creations.

Crockpot/Slow Cooker

A slow cooker is a great way to make delicious meals without having to spend hours in the kitchen. Just add all of your ingredients into the pot and let it do its thing! In a few hours, you’ll have a delicious meal that’s ready for you when you get home.

Pressure Cooker

A pressure cooker is great for making meals quickly and efficiently. Whether you’re cooking up some soup, beans, or even meat dishes, this appliance can help you whip up something tasty in no time. Plus, with modern models, cleanup is quick and easy too! Try this pressure cooker brisket recipe for a delicious meal that you can make in half the time.

Coffee Maker

A good coffee maker is a must for any empty nester. Whether you’re enjoying a cup of joe in the morning or making an espresso for an afternoon pick-me-up, there’s no better way to get your caffeine fix than with your own coffee machine. From simple drip machines to cappuccino makers, you can find something that fits your lifestyle and brewing preferences.

Air Fryer

Love fried foods but don’t want all the grease? An air fryer is the perfect appliance for you! With this gadget, you can make crispy fried foods like french fries and chicken wings with little to no oil. It’s also great for baking, roasting, and reheating leftovers.

Countertop Induction Cooker

An induction cooker is a great option if you’re looking for an energy-efficient way to cook. This type of stove uses magnetic fields to generate heat, so it’s much faster and more efficient than traditional cooking methods. Plus, induction cookers come in a variety of sizes, so you can find one that works for your needs.

Toaster Oven

A toaster oven is perfect for empty nesters who don’t want the hassle of preheating their conventional ovens. These handy appliances are small but mighty — they can toast bread, bake cookies, and even roast vegetables! With all these functions in one device, you’ll never run out of ideas for what to make next.

Ice Maker

An ice maker is one of the best investments you can make if you’re an empty nester. This appliance will save you trips to the store and let you enjoy cold drinks anytime you want! Plus, some models come with water filters, so your drinks will be even more refreshing.

If washing dishes by hand seems like a chore, then it may be time to invest in a dishwasher. These appliances are a great way to take the hassle out of cleaning up after meals and save precious time in the kitchen. Plus, many models are energy efficient and environmentally friendly too!

Sous Vide Cooker

Sous vide is a cooking method that involves vacuum-sealing food in a pouch and then immersing the package in hot water. The result? Perfectly cooked, juicy, flavorful meals with very little effort required! This type of cooker is among the perfect appliances for empty nesters who want to try something new or just don’t have the time to stand by the stove.

Popcorn Popper

Who doesn’t love popcorn? With this appliance, you can make delicious, air-popped popcorn right at home. Plus, no oil or butter is needed so your snacks will be healthier than ever. So grab some kernels and create your own version of movie night without leaving the house!

Empty nesters don’t need to sacrifice on convenience or quality when it comes to cooking. With the right kitchen appliances, meal time can be just as delicious and enjoyable as ever. From pressure cookers to ice makers, these appliances will help make life easier and more enjoyable. In turn, they will help you to cultivate the perfect home for your new life.

  1. These are all great ideas! I can see how these would all be very useful. There are a few of these that I know I would enjoy. I had no idea there was a sous vide cooker.

Yesssss!! I just got a robot vacuum and LOVE it so much. His name is Tom, and he’s amazing. Ha!

  3. Such a great list! We tried the sous vide but it seemed like too much work, maybe we will give it another try!

  4. We love our robot hoover! It’s class but it does need some help navigating the spaces and sadly it can’t do stairs, which are the biggest pain!

  5. Great list of items! I am not an empty nester but I own most of the items on this list and love them all.

  6. Your article on appliances for empty nesters is spot on! It’s great to see practical suggestions for downsizing and simplifying life. The tips on slow cookers and air fryers are especially helpful.

  7. I’m not an empty nester quite yet, but I will be very soon. I already have most of these items, but I have had bad luck with robot vacuums- they tend to break down far too quickly or not work the way they should, and miss large sections of carpet. I probably need a better brand.
