Desperate Mama Angela Bellon.
Desperate Mama Angela Bellon is the mom of a daughter and wife to husband, Alessandro.
In today’s feature, we learn a bit about what is behind the name.
I used to work as an assistant branch manager but now I work from home as a blogger (at Desperate Mamas) with my partner Tamara Mendiola. We write about motherhood topics and share the Good, the Bad and Desperate moments we experience as parents.
I was born and raised in Italy where I went to art school and learned to express my creativity in various forms. My absolute favorite way of expressing my creativity is painting and event decorating. I love to entertain and cook for my family and friends, and my signature dish is mushroom risotto.
What I do well as a mom.
I do a good job to establish rules and disciplining my child. It is my belief that rules will build self-confidence in my child. I feel I do it without being unfair while giving her a strong foundation to grow her personality, passions, and creativity while being in a safe environment. I also do a good job to nurture and satisfy her curiosity.
What I learned from another mom:
My partner Tamara taught me how to be patient with my child. Give her the time and floor space to experiment and learn how to accomplish tasks. After all, it takes few minutes to clean up, but the messy memories will last forever.
Lesson learned from my child.
Don’t take life too seriously and smile more often. No matter what happens there is always a brighter side to life. Learn to laugh at the good experiences of parenting and not frown at the challenges that come with being a parent.
Successful motherhood moment:
Sleep time has always been an issue with my little one. So when she reached an appropriate age and the doctor gave us the go-ahead we started teaching her how to fall asleep on her own. It was difficult at first and I must say heartbreaking to hear her cry, but my husband and I worked really hard on it.
Because of this effort, she’s not only able to fall asleep on her own, but she also sleeps longer.
Mom I admire.
My mother-in-law. Adele. I have never seen anybody being so devoted to someone like she is with her two sons. I admire her strength and determination, which shaped her sons to be the successful men they are today.
