5 FREE Exercise Resources To Get Fit At Home
How to find the time for exercise has been a frequently asked question as of late.
For this reason, I thought that I would share some of my favorite FREE exercise resources. I love FREE.
I like all of these resources for differing reasons and due to this have put them in no specific order.
Walk Away The Pounds with Leslie Sansone.
This series offers the ability to get in your steps without ever leaving your home.
Options include a 1 mile, 3 mile, 5 mile and more.
These are wonderful for you if you have received medical clearance to exercise but an injury makes you unsure if you really can if you have doubts that you can really get a good walk in or even if you live in an area where the weather is not conducive to walking outside.
I love Fitness Blender. Here you will find FREE full-length workout videos put together by a husband and wife team. These are not high budget but they are high quality. To get you started I have chosen this At Home Cardio Workout to Burn Fat & Tone.
There is a paid component to Fitness Blender that includes more tips and exercise plans but I am thinking that someone has you covered for that. 🙂
Daily Burn is a paid program. If you visit the website you will recognize Bob Harper host and trainer of The Biggest Loser fame. Bob designed Black Fire and several other programs within DailyBurn. The first 30 days are free if you want to check that out.
And just because I love you let me throw a sixth exercise resource your way…. those sneakers that are just sitting there feeling lonely. I am sure they would love it if you strapped them on and took them out for a while.
I hope that you enjoy this list and have found some great resources. Please comment below and tell me what your favorite forms of exercise are? Does your preference change with the seasons?

Time to start walking, almost The snow is just about gone here. I am going to walk from the post office home every day.
Great videos!
That is a great plan. It is so good to get your body moving.
Hi Dr. Elise,
Great fitness ideas that are free! I’m definitely a walker. Used to run cross country until a fall ended up getting a hip replacement. After that surgery, I got so outta shape that, like Monna, getting to end of my street was the best I could do. For someone who’s always been a natural athlete – shameful!

It is not shameful. It is something that happened due to life’s circumstances. I am sure that you must find it to be quite disappointing but if we just keep walking (FREE) then we will be able to go anywhere we want.
Love this..
Had to give up my gym subscription so this will be great to do at home ! Thank you!
I am so sorry to hear that you had to give up the gym membership. You were really loving it and doing so great. Well, I guess it is now time to love something else 🙂
Hi Elise,
Thanks for the great ideas. Believe it or not, I bought myself a stepper to use inside since it’s so hot here in Florida and I can’t leave Mom alone. I am so out of shape that I am working my way up. Embarrassed to say my first time, I did 10 steps, the 2nd time I got in 20 and yesterday, I made it to 30 steps. Slow going but at least I’m going. LOL.
Thanks for sharing all of your great tips.
It all starts somewhere and even if you can only do a small number of steps those are steps in the right direction.
